Welcome!
I am Sophie; mum to Poppy & Lottie, and qualified doula from Adelaide, SA.
I completed my doula training with the Australian Doula College at the end of 2013 and not long after, completed the Certificate IV in Doula Support Services.
I am passionate about birth, babies, breastfeeding, and the spectrum of choices involved. I fully believe in a woman’s innate ability to give birth without intervention but I also understand there are times when intervention is truly necessary. My role is to support without bias and provide information as required.
As your doula I will support you in all of your choices, help to guide you through your options, and hopefully inspire you to find your inner strength to birth with confidence.

I M P O R T A N T A N N O U N C E M E N T
I'm currently on a break from taking on birth clients and cannot commit
to attending births for the foreseeable future.
I am still running Beer and Bubs: childbirth education for men at the pub
with the amazing Erin Walker from Nurture the Goddess, and I am still offering
Birth Planning sessions (see my Packages for more info).
I will absolutely return to supporting births sometime in the future but for now
this is the right decision for me, and for my family.

Beer + Bubs: Childbirth education for men at the pub
Beer + Bubs is a one-night session at the pub where expectant Dads/Partners/Support People learn about the birthing process and how to best support their partners through the labour & birth of their baby in a fun and relaxed environment.
Erin and I hold these sessions on a Tuesday night at 6:45pm every 4-6 weeks upstairs at The Cumby on Waymouth Street in the city.
